The Jet d'Eau is one of the crowning symbols of Geneva. The Jet d'Eau is a fountain of water pumped 140 meters into the air. It's beautifully lit at night and best viewed from a distance, because the fountain shoots water out to the surrounding half kilometer. This is one experience that you will not forget. Another place that will be of interest is the English gardens or Jardin Anglais. It is a small garden at the lake where people like to spend time watching the famous Flower Clock. The Cathédrale St-Pierre or Place St. Pierre is yet another noteworthy site to see. It is a place of unique spiritual and cultural importance. The Cathedral and its towers, originally Catholic, both embody the high point of the Reformed tradition and explore the origins of Christianity with an extensive archaeological site. They are now complimented by the International Museum of the Reformation. The archeological tour beneath the cathedral is an excellent adventure for those interested in such material.
